CLINICAL AND MICROBIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF IMPETIGO IN RAMADI CITY

The aims of this study was to detect the clinical and microbiological criteria used in the diagnosis of impetigo addition to understand the susceptibility pattern of the bacterial causative agents of impetigo to selected antimicrobial agents. A total of Fourty five patients infected with impetigo were included in this study. Microbiological examination was performed based on direct examination, staining with Gram stain, biochemical test and culture. The antimicrobial susceptibility test was performed by standardized Kirbey-Bauer disc diffusion method. Out of 45 specimens obtained, 15(33.3%) were diagnosed bullous impetigo and 30 (66.7%) as impetigo contagiosa. Out of 30 patients of non bullous impetigo, 25 (83.3%) were appeared as a primary infection while five (16.7%) of them followed other infection like scabies. The study results showed that Staphylococci were the main bacterial causative agents of bullous impetigo. In non-bullous impetigo, staphylococci isolated in 17 cases and Streptococcus pyogenes in 10 (33.3%) of patients. With regard to antimicrobial susceptibility tests, staphylococcal isolates were appeared 100% of sensitivity against ciprofloxacin, vancomycin, rifampicin and amikacin. Cloxacillin alone and ampicillin/cloxacillin combination revealed resistance in 4 (28.6) and 3 (21.4%) respectively. Three (12%) of isolates were resistant to third generation cephalosporines (cefotaxime, ceftriaxone and ceftazidime) respectively. Staphylococci were the main bacterial causative agents of bullous impetigo while in non-bullous impetigo, Streptococcus pyogenes in addition to staphylococci predominantly S aureus were the predominant causative agents. Further, ciprofloxacin, vancomycin, rifampicin and amikacin were the most effective antimicrobial agents against study isolates of S aureus.

The effect of high temperature on chemical structure of red blood corpuscles membranes for employees in ovens of Ramadi glass factory – Iraq.

This study include investigation the effects of high temperature on the chemical structure of RBCs membranes in thirty workers of the state coperation of glass industries in Ramadi - Iraq , thirty technicians and administrators for interior control and thirty volunteers as external control . RBCs membranes isolation and characterization of lipids and protiens and checking them by using TLC and gel electrophoresis respectively . From the results of this study we observed proteins of RBCs membrane decreased significantly (P<0.01) , cholesterol and phospholipids increased significantly (P<0.01) , (lipidsproteins) ratio increased significantly (P<0.01) . RBCs membranes proteins electrophoresis on (polyacrylamide gel) showed the disappearance of number of proteins bands and decreased the density of the other bands , while the separation on the (TLC) showed that there were clear differences and there was change in the classes of RBCs membrane lipids.

ADHESION OF UROPATHOGENIC AND ENTEROPATHOGENIC Escherichia coli TO HUMAN BUCCAL EPITHELIAL CELLS

Fifty urine samples were collected from patients with urinary tract infections and a 50 stool specimens from diarrhoeal patients . These samples were investigated bacteriologically. The invitro adherence test of Enteropathogenic and Uropathogenic E. coli to healthy human buccal epithelial cells was carried out. The results show no significant differences in the mean adhesion of these bacteria (two sources) on the epithelial cells as compard with the control . but there is a little variation among EPEC isolates and among UPEC isolates too as compared with the control.

Effect of Pseudomonas aureofaiciens & Pseudomonas putida on growth of sorghum biocolor and protect them from infection of Rhizoctonia solani fungi

The activity of two bacteria isolates Pseudomonas aureofaiciens & Pseudomonas putida in improving some specific and quantitative characters of Sorghum biocolor and protecting the plant from infection with the fungus Rhizoctonia solani was studied. Complete Randomized Design with three replicates was used in this experiment. The results showed significant higher values of treatments with bacterial isolates in growth percentage, leaf area, height of plant, chlorophyll content and dry weight of shoots. The results also showed significant differences in levels of nitrogen and phosphorus in shoot weight of plant for all treatments which treated with bacterial vaccines. The isolates also improved the studied characters of plants cultured in soil contaminated with Rhizoctonia solani and significantly inhibited the effect of plant pathogen. We concluded from this research it can use bacterial vaccines as new biological technique in improving Agricultural production as Biofertilizers and Biocontrol to inhibit fungi growth on crops.

STUDY ON SOME FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH ECZEMA IN RAMADI.

Eighty eczematous patients were included in this study from both sexes and two age groups, adults were (52) patients aged (18-70) years and children were( 28) included aged (3-17) years. They were attending Department of Dermatology in Ramadi General Hospital Ramadi, Al-Anbar Governorate West of Iraq, during the period extended from April2005-March 2006. Patients were submitted to a clinical examination and questionnaire test. Data were analyzed using Chi - square and T test. Results showed that females within age group (3-17) years showed higher rate of eczema than males. Adult males showed higher of eczema , (18: 80 ) patients were showing familial link, adult females were more allergic to variety of food. Out of the total studied patients (61.25%) showed seasonal eczema while 38.75% of them showed eczema at any season

The distribution and the spread of fungi in the head and ear, and the factors affecting it.

The study was conducted to identify the presence and the spread of fungi in the head and hair authorization employees and male college students, as the random sample consisted of 20 people and examined the presence and the spread of fungi in terms of density and type and its relationship with the type of fatty and dry hair. as well as the relationship with the age of the samples, and use disinfectants and shampoo to clean hair. In addition, examined the situation of the infection and its relationship authorized manner and the number of times Ablutions cleaning, also examined the ability of isolates that have been obtained from samples growth on (PDA) potato dextrose agar and Sabouraud's agar, also identified the role of some materials used in cleaning the skin and body on the growth of fungi and discouraged. Results showed that 80% of people infected with the proliferation of fungi in hair of the head and found that the incidence increased with the type of fatty hair and the small group of youth, however, the incidence of authorization was increased with the type of hair dry and increasing age approximately 30 years and the incidence increased with the less times cleaning, docked with the moral way Ablutions established as increased incidence of cases with permission to use the same water for head and ear, and results confirmed that the majority of these isolates belong to the yeast Candida and its growth could discourage the use of substances purified type Shampoo Head and shoulder.

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND KINETIC STUDIES OF SOME OXAZEPINE AND OXAZEPANE DERIVATIVES

1,3-Bis(2-hydroxy-benzylidene)-Thiourea and 1,3-Bis-(dimethylamino-benzylidene)-Thiourea were prepared by condensation of Thiourea with one equivalent and two equivalent of substituted benzaldehyde. These Schiff-bases were reacted with one equivalent of Maleic , Succinic and Phthalic anhydride in absolute ethanol to give 7-membered heterocyclic ring system of 2-(2-Hydroxy-phenyl)-4,7-dioxo-4,7-dihydro-[1,3] oxazpine-3-carbothioic acid amide and 2-(4-Dimethylamino-phenyl)-4,7-dioxo-4,7-dihydro-[1,3]oxazepine-3-carbothioiacid amide , 1,3-Bis(2-hydroxy-benzylidene)-Thiourea and 1,3-Bis-(dimethylamino-benzylidene)-Thiourea were reacted with two equivalent of Maleic and Succinic anhydride in same solvent to give 2 (7-membered) heterocyclic ring system of 2-(2-hydroxy-phenyl)-3-[2-(2-hydroxy-phenyl)-4,7-dioxo-[1,3]oxazepine-3-carbothioyl]-2,3-dihydro-[1,3]oxazepine-a,7-dione and 2-(4-Dimethylamino-phenyl)-3-[2-(4-dimethylamino-phenyl)-4,7-dioxo-[1,3]oxazepine-3- carbothioyl]-2,3-dihydro-[1,3]oxazepine-4,7-dione. The constants of reaction velocity for (Schiff-bases)with Maleic , Succinic and Phthalic anhydride were studied and showed that the reaction wsa first – order one .Some of thermodynamic characteristics were evaluated and showed differences among the prepared compounds . The final products were identified by their melting points, elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR and UV-Visible spectra

PREVALENCE OF INTESTINAL PARASITES INFECTION IN SOME AREAS OF AL-QUIM / AL-ANBAR GOVERNORATE

Samples of 896 patients visited Al –Q uim general hospital and also , four different random of soil samples were taken from outside and inside doors to examine the presence of gastric parasites during the year . This study was carried out in the fungi toxity laboratory – College of Agriculture -Baghdad university during 2006 to evaluate coantial wastes utilizing as essential martial to prepare general media for some microorganisms. Results obtained can be summarized as follow:- 1-Best quantity can be used from coantial to prepare general medium for fungus was 100 gr l which was given growth rate from fungus were tested semiler than which was obtaind by yousd potato dextrose agare (PDA) medium. 2-The increased on mat dry weight for fungus tested by using caontial medium with 5 gr. starch as amendment were 1.15 ,1.29 ,1.14 and 1.67 gr100 ml medium from Pleurotus ostreatus ,Trichoderam harizanium ,Fusarum monifrom and Aspergillus flavus combared with ,0.59,1.28 and 0.91 gr 100ml on PD medium respectively. 3-Effect of coantil medium with amendment on spores concentration were 24 x105 ml and16 x105ml from A.flavus and F.monilifrom copared with 2x 105ml and 12 x105ml on PD medium . 4-On other hand the best quantity can be used from coantial to prepare medium utlize for bacteria culture was 50 gr 1 which was gevin best growth rate for Escherichia coli .Azotobacter sp and pseudomonas fluorcens semilar than obtaind by used N.B. media and coantial media inereased the count density only for Azotobacter sp

The bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated from patients of burns in Al-Ramadi hospital and diagnosed according to its cultural , microscopic and biochemical properties. sensitivity test of the bacterium against antibiotics was established and the results appeared it was sensitive to the antibiotics Carbenicillin , Chloramphenicol , Rifampicin and Trimethoprim and resistant to the antibitcs Amoxicillin , Ampicillin Clindomycin Cloxacillin , Nalidixic acid , Cephaloxin , Tetracyclin and Tobromycin . Preparation and study of a mixture of unsaturated polyester (UPE) with polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to improve its thermal and photo properties

Due to the important applications of the unsaturated polyester under normal climate conditions, this study dealt with polymer blends of this polymer with polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), using tetra hydrofuran (THF) as asolvent according to the following weight to weight ratios (W/W) (11%,12%,13%,14.5%,16%,17%). Films were made from these two polymers and they were expossed to UV light of 365nm as wave length for 200 hours at room temperature continously. Another set of films were expossed to heat (80C0) for the same period (thermal aging).IR , UV and light microscope techniques were used to follow up the thermal and photo degradation of this system.It has been found that the practical results have shown agreement with the proposed theory which indicate that the PVAc undergoes cross-linking reactions rather than chain degradation, also it has been noticed that the effect of UV radiation is more effective in comparison with that of the heat. By using the same method mentioned above a study on (UPE+PVC) was carried out under the same conditions. It has been noticed that PVC makes the system more stable especially against the UV light and the effect of heat is more significant than that of the radiation because the PVC did not contain the chromophores can be react with light. The photographs that have taken by the photo microscope showed agreement with that of the UV and the IR spectra . In such away that these systems suffered surface oxidative reactions and then crosslinking rather than chain degradation. Better weathering resistant polyblends of (UPE) were obtained in this study towards heat and UV effects.

The first stage included preparing and dignosing four compounds of Schiff's-bases throught condensing be town 3-amino coumarin (1) with aldehyde aromatic. The effect of some compounds and ions such as EDTA,Urea,KCN,2-Mercaptoethanol,BeCl2 and L-Phenyl alanine on the activity of Alkaline phosphatase extracted from Escherichia coli has been studied by using p-NitroPhenyl Phosphate as a substrate at a different concentrations (1.5„e10-1,3.0„e10-2,4.5„e10-3) M.,and the alkaline glycine regulating solution pH=10.5.Inhibition constant Ki and type of inhibition(competitive or noncompetitive)using Dixon plot for competitive & noncompetitive inhibition as well as the percentage of inhibition have all been calculated & I50 for different compounds.

Geochemical & palaeontological Study of Gulneri Formation(upper cretaceous) NE-Iraq

THE EFFECT OF C u AND Sn ON SOME PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF CdS THIN FILMS PREPARED BY SPRAY PYROLYSIS

In this investigation, thin films of CdS doped with Cu and Sn were prepared on glass substrate using spray pyrolysis techniques. The X-ray diffraction results obtained that the films are polycrystalline and having many phases depends on the doping type. The optical properties of the prepared films were studied in the range of wavelength (300-800)nm. The analysis of the absorption spectra of these films indicates that the films are of direct energy gape of values in the range (1.3-2.5)eV, depending on the type and concentration of the doping .The measurement of refractive index (n) and extinction coefficient (K) obtained that, they were having a changed values in the VIS region with doping concentration. The electrical properties of the prepared films were also studied, it is found that the films having a two activation energies. For 7mass%Sn E1act equal 0.164eVat the temperature interval (295-325)K and E2act equal 0.861 eV in the temperature range (325-425)K. Whereas at 25 mass%Sn,E1act equal 0.108eVin the range (295-370)K and E2act equal 0.542eV in the range (370-450)K. from Hall experiment found that all thin films which doped by Cu and Sn are given P-type.

PHOTON-PROTON TOTAL CROSS SECTION AND FACTORIZATION PROCESS

A fit for photon-proton total cross section ( ) data in terms of Regge model has been obtained. As usual the fit can be obtained by calculating the coupling constants of the exchanged Reggeons and pomerons in the process. The model has three Regge components, the low energy region is dominated by meson and the high energy region is dominated by the soft and hard pomerons. As Regge pole factorizes the hadronic total cross sections are related by factorization. A fit for the photon -photon total cross section ( ) can also be obtained by the factorization.

Spectral Properties of Some IRAS Starburst Galaxies at HI 21-cm statistic study

NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF PARTICLE IN A DOUBLE OSCILLATORS

In the present work, we extend the Hermann and Al-Rashid works to the problem of particle in a double oscillators potential. In this problem, one can take a special case when oscillation quantum number ( ) is none negative integer. Computer programming is built to make numerical simulations to this problem. The probability density of finding particle in a double oscillators potential is calculated without using Schrِdinger equation or any conventional quantum mechanics. This probability is compared with probability of conventional quantum mechanics.

THE MIXING RATIO AND RATIO OF TRANSITIONS IN SOME OF SAMARIUM ISOTOPES

Samarium isotopes (Z=62) lies in the traditional rotational to transitional-spherical region that occurs at the range of deformed nuclei. Gamma ray mixing ratio and ratio for selected transitions in Sm148-154 are calculated in the frame work of proton-neutron interacting boson model (IBM-2). The results obtained for Samarium isotopes are reasonably in a good agreement with the previous experimental results.

Study of the fission probability as function of energy of(0.5MeV-2MeV) on various fissing nucleus

The aim of this study is to know the behavior of fission probability as function of neutrons energy of various fission nucleuses (231Th, 233Th, 235U, 237U, 239U, 241Pu, 243Pu) at the same energy range of descending neutrons (0.5 MeV to 2 MeV). The fission probability is considered as a principal effective factor in measuring the fission cross section of fissing materials. In this work we found that, the fissing materials at the energy range of descending neutrons decreased as a result of increasing neutron energy. In this study, I conclude the empirical relations by the fitting method in which the probability fission value can be estimated as a function for neutrons energy (0.5MeV-2MeV) and for various fission nucleuses, for instant the empirical formula for thorium atom ( 231 ) Th as below

STUDYING THE NUCLEAR STRUCTURE OF EVEN-EVEN DEFORMED GERMANIUM NUCLEUS

In the present work, the interacting boson model(IBM-1) for s and d boson is used to calculate the energy levels of the positive parity bands, electric quadrupole moments, E2-transition probabilities B(E2)in particular between states which may be affected by the finite boson number N=Nذ+Nُ=2+5=7 of even-even nucleus . This nucleus is belong to SU(5)-SU(3) dynamical symmetry . The calculated results of this study are compared with the available experimental data and they found to be in a very good agreement.

This is due to the complexity of using these secure e-mail systems and protocols. The complexity mainly arises from the difficulty associated with managing certificates and public keys. The main objective of this study was to find a solution that can make secure e-mail systems easier to use while maintaining the same level of security. This paper proposes a secure e-mail system that is based on the S/MIME standard where the public key and signature algorithms have been replaced by their Identity-Based Cryptography analogue algorithms. Using Identity-Based Cryptography has eliminated the need for digital certificates, and provided a solution to the usability problem present in the existing secure e-mail systems. Users can determine the public key of the recipient without having to contact any trusted third party, and can start encrypting or verifying messages as long as they have the public system parameters that can be publicly available. Users need to contact the Private Key Generator (PKG) only once in order to retrieve their private key before being able to decrypt or sign messages.
