The study included 360 samples collected during the period between October 2005 to March 2006. They were divided into four main groups namely; adolescents, pregnant women in third trimester, women during delivery and their newborn. Each group consisted of 90 subjects. It was carried out to determine the hematological variables using the routine examination methods The following results were obtained : There was a decrease in the level of hemoglobin in pregnant women and delivery women but increased in newborn . There was a decrease in the total white blood cells among adolescents and delivery women .The neutrophils level was the highest but it was at the lowest level in pregnant women and delivery women . The highest ratios of reticulocytes counts were among newborn while the lowest ratios were among adolescents. Platelets rates significantly decreased in the two groups of pregnant women in comparison with adolescents and new born. We conclude that the hematological examinations results were varies according to the physiological conditions of each group.
